This lizard isn't native to UK, but I thought someone here might be able to identify it.  My brother-in-law lives in Dallas, Texas, USA and this lizard found its way into his house.  He's asked several locals and no one seems to know anything about it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Hi Jason, have you got a larger picture? looks to me like a gecko of some type just going by the pads on its feet and large eyes.

But I expect someone more knowledgeable will put me right

Hi Jason

To me it looks like a Mediterranean Gecko. Native to the Mediterranean and Middle East, it is now the most conspicuous gecko in North America.

Hemidactylus Turcicus, or in plain old English - Turkish Gecko. They've made their way to the US now Jason, mainly found in Florida :)

Dont know the species but you can definatly find them in Alicante in spain,they were all over our villa.

The Turkish Gecko is native to many areas of the Med, the common name is somewhat misleading ;)

Yup, H. turcicus, found them allover Texas last year from the coast to the hill country. Very abundant and conspicuous.
